The clinical picture of triceps enthesopathy manifests itself gradually, starting with aching pain in the area of the tendon and elbow joint. Pain occurs when the muscle is loaded.

Swelling of the elbow, fever at the site of localization of the problem, pain on palpation are acceptable. In some cases, the mobility of the elbow joint is difficult.

To establish a diagnosis, it is necessary to undergo an examination by an orthopedic traumatologist, perform a study. To accurately determine the stage and location of enthesopathy, the patient is prescribed CT, MRI and ultrasound.

After making a diagnosis, it is necessary to reduce the rate of loads on the triceps muscle.
The main methods of treatment: massage, physical therapy, shock wave therapy, ultrasound, PRP injections, glucocorticoid blockades.

With untimely diagnosis of enthesopathy and lack of adequate treatment, this condition can lead to the appearance of persistent pain. Also, enthesopathy can lead to degenerative-dystrophic changes in the tendon, followed by a violation of its anatomical integrity. In turn, this leads to partial or even complete disability, to disability of patients.

Preventive measures aimed at preventing the development of enthesopathy include avoiding chronic overload, microtraumatization and injuries. In particular, people whose professional activity is associated with the risk of developing this pathology should observe the work and rest regime.
