Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation (from Lat. Re again + habilis adapted) is a complex of medical, psychological, pedagogical, professional measures to restore autonomy, working capacity and health.

Competent and staged rehabilitation is one of the most important conditions for a person's return to an active lifestyle. A feature of rehabilitation in our center is its narrow focus for the treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

A separate area is the rehabilitation of professional athletes.

Methods of rehabilitation of our patients

✔ kinesitherapy

✔ TRX workout

✔ classes on balancing platforms

✔ muscle strengthening programs

✔ myofascial release (MRI) methods

✔ therapy of trigger points

✔ therapeutic massage

✔ taping

✔ hardware physiotherapy

✔ specialized author's therapeutic methods

✔ special programs of therapeutic gymnastics and personal training from highly qualified coaches

The stage that guarantees a successful outcome is the diagnosis and development of an individual treatment program based on world standards.

Our important feature is the medical support of the patient during the program, which allows, if necessary, to make adjustments to it.

Using a specially equipped gym helps increase range of motion, endurance and coordination.

Hardware physiotherapy is the most important tool in the rehabilitation process, helping to control pain, relieve edema, eliminate inflammation, improve blood circulation and ultimately speed recovery.

Physiotherapy is a specialized field of clinical medicine that studies the physiological and therapeutic effects of natural and artificially created physical factors on the human body.

Physiotherapy is usually used in combination with other methods, such as to enhance the effects of conservative therapy (tablets, ointments, injections, etc.).

Physiotherapy is indispensable in the period of rehabilitation after surgery, for faster elimination of postoperative edema and pain. The use of physiotherapy allows you to reduce the dose or completely abandon drugs. Physiotherapy has a long after-effect: the therapeutic effect persists for a considerable period of time and even increases after the end of treatment.

In which diseases of the musculoskeletal system is effective medical physiotherapy?

Osteoarthritis, inflammatory diseases of the joints, arthritis, dysplasia, soft tissue contusions, joint contractures, poor fracture fusion, osteochondrosis of the spine, ligament diseases and injuries, muscles, tendons: tendinosis, tendinitis, epicondylitis, enthesopathy, myositis, myositis postoperative period to accelerate healing and more.

What physiotherapeutic equipment is used in our medical center?

Our medical center uses the most modern and powerful physiotherapy equipment from the world's leading manufacturer BTL. Physiotherapeutic device BTL-5820SM2 has great therapeutic potential and allows for all types of electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, magnetic therapy.

Magnetic therapy

Based on many years of research, BTL has developed one of the most powerful magnetic therapy devices on the market today, with a unique FMF - focused magnetic field technology. This technology allows you to better focus the magnetic field and direct it to the right area, enhancing the therapeutic effect of the procedure and preventing exposure to the whole body.

Magnetotherapy has a diverse effect on the human body. In orthopedics and traumatology the most important are its anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, antispastic (prevention of joint contractures) and trophic-regenerative effects.

An important advantage of magnetic therapy is the long-term effect of the aftereffect: the effect of the procedures can last up to several months. Unlike other methods of physiotherapy, magnetic therapy can be prescribed at the earliest after surgery, as it does not require direct contact with the wound surface.

Effects of magnetotherapy

✔ analgesic effect

✔ anti-inflammatory action

✔ muscle relaxant effect

✔ stimulation of soft tissue and bone healing

✔ improving blood microcirculation

Ultrasound therapy (ultrasonophoresis)

The therapeutic effect of ultrasound therapy is associated with vibration massage, thermal and physicochemical effects on tissues.

Vibrating "micromassage" of tissues at the cellular and subcellular levels allows to absorb infiltrates and seals, prevents the formation of postoperative adhesions and scars, prevents the development of joint contractures.

Thermal and physicochemical effects improve microcirculation, have anti-inflammatory effects, stimulate tissue healing.

In addition, the bactericidal effect of ultrasound has been proven, which allows its use to prevent postoperative suppuration in the operated limb (ultrasound damages the cell membranes of some pathogenic microorganisms).

The ability of ultrasound to increase the permeability of tissues and blood vessels became the basis for the joint use of ultrasound with drugs. Ultrasound allows you to deliver drugs through the skin to deeper tissues, where there is a painful area or pathological focus. This joint use of ultrasound + drugs is called ultraphonophoresis. The efficiency of ultraphonophoresis is much higher than the use of only one ultrasound, which allows you to achieve the desired effect with fewer procedures in a shorter time. In orthopedics during ultraphonophoresis as drugs most often used creams, gels or ointments that have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, stimulating regeneration effect.

Effects of ultrasound therapy

✔ anti-inflammatory action

✔ muscle relaxant effect

✔ analgesic effect

✔ hyperemic action

Electrotherapy

Physiotherapy device BTL-5820SM2 generates a full range of low- and medium-frequency currents and their modifications, as well as equipped with all the necessary functions that reflect the latest advances in electrotherapy.

Electrotherapy has a variety of effects on the human body, both local and general. Local changes occur directly at the location of the overlays. In the affected area there is an improvement in metabolism and intensification of repair processes. Electrotherapy has an antiseptic effect on spasmed blood vessels and muscles (prevention of contractures), along with improving microcirculation and reducing the sensitivity of receptors, this effect also causes an analgesic effect. Applied currents help to eliminate stagnation and inflammation in the tissues, reduce their swelling, accelerate the resorption of infiltrates, adhesions, scars.

Effects of electrotherapy

✔ improving blood microcirculation

✔ normalization of muscle tone

✔ prevention of joint contractures

✔ analgesic and anti-edematous effect

The qualified physiotherapist of our medical center individually selects treatment procedures, power, time of exposure and number of procedures for each patient, taking into account the patient's age, diagnosis, severity and stage of the disease.
